Labelle Winery Collecting Cards for Soldiers, Vets and Families

American Red Cross New Hampshire and Labelle Winery have teamed up to support the Holiday Mail for Heroes program this holiday season.

From Nov. 1 through Dec. 4, New Hampshire residents can show their gratitude and best wishes for those who serve our country, vets and their families by dropping off a signed holiday card at LaBelle Winery, 345 Route 101 in Amherst, which is acting as a “card drop” location for the program this year.

“LaBelle is honored and excited to participate in this program for our military, vets and military families. We invite our friends and neighbors across NH to stop by, drop off a card, enjoy some time at LaBelle and learn more about the American Red Cross,” said Amy LaBelle, owner of LaBelle Winery.

All cards collected at LaBelle will be forwarded to Red Cross volunteers across the United States and on military installations overseas to sort and deliver the cards throughout the holiday season. Since 2006, the Red Cross has received and distributed more than 6.5 million cards for members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and their families through this holiday program.

Individuals are asked to refrain from dropping off letters, monetary donations or any other kinds of inserts with the cards. Please also refrain from using glitter. More information and card requirements can be found at redcross.org/holidaymail; further guidance will be posted at LaBelle.

“Everyone gets busy, especially around the holidays, so just a few moments can mean a lot,” said Maria White, CEO for the New Hampshire Region. “While it may not seem like much, a hand-written note to a service member spending time away from his or her family makes a world of difference. This partnership with LaBelle Winery offers the Red Cross a unique opportunity to partner with a local business through our Tiffany Circle program.”
