LETTER: Vote for Candidates with Local Roots
Chairman of Bedford Democratic Committee makes his case for local Democrats.

running to be your State Senator, and Len Gerzon, running for State Representative, are deeply rooted in their community.
Lee Nyquist and his wife Leslie were married in the Bedford Presbyterian Church in 1983. Lee has been the Town Moderator of New Boston for over 20 years.
Lee is a member of the Manchester Rotary Club, a past director of the Community Church of New Boston, and served as a Director of the Daniel Webster Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Len Gerzon and his wife Nancy have lived in Amherst for the past 19 years. Prior to 1994, Len lived in Bedford, where he was a Trustee of the Bedford Land Trust. Len now is a Trustee of the Amherst Land Trust and a Commissioner of the Town of Amherst Conservation Commission. Len serves on the Board of Directors of the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Compare Lee and Len’s record of service to that of their opponents, who resigned their previous legislative positions before important votes, and whose campaign signs littered our landscape before they themselves rented a residence here. Having no roots in the system, they have voted against the interests of our public schools. Having no respect for a primary opponent who is pillar of our community, their radical out-of-state supporters hurled money and mud into our town. Voters who believe in the New Hampshire ideal of the citizen legislator will vote for Lee Nyquist to be our State Senator representing District 9, and for Len Gerzon to be our State Representative representing Bedford and Amherst.
