Miss NH Kicks Off Today
Preliminary competitions are today and Friday, with the final competition on Saturday.
The 67th annual Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Competition kicks today and continues through Sunday at Pinkerton Academy's Stockbridge Theatre in Derry.
WMUR-TV Sports Director Jamie Staton and Miss New Hampshire 2012 Megan Lyman will emcee the event, which features 28 young women from across the state competing for the title of Miss New Hampshire 2013. The winner will receive at least $13,000 in scholarships, represent the state at ceremonial functions and welcome visiting dignitaries.
This year, New Hampshire residents will assist a panel of judges in the selection of 12 semifinalists. Votes can be cast through the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program website or on the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program Facebook page.

The preliminary competitions today and Friday begin at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10. Saturday’s final competition is at 6 p.m. and tickets are from $20 to $50.
