Local Man Performs on American Idol
Alex Preston may be on his way to stardom following his Jan. 15 performance.
At 20 years old, Alex Preston has already performed in several venues in the Boston area, New York City and around his new home in Nashville.
But the former Mont Vernon resident and Souhegan High School grad may have played his biggest venue to date when he performed on American Idol on the television show's 2014 premiere episode on Jan. 15.
On his Facebook page, Preston describes himself as a singer/songwriter who plays 12 instruments. He also says that he has opened for The Backstreet Boys, Gavin DeGraw, and Of Monsters and Men.
On his web site, Preston describes his approach to music as follows:
“My music is merely the paint and brush in which the listener can use to create the real piece of art in their mind.”
