This summer, Nashua Community College has enrichment programs for youth and teens to explore on campus, including: Programming with Python, Introduction to Arduino (Programmable circuit board), Exploring the World of Public Health (Rising 9th – 12th grade only), and returning favorites; the Automotive and Aviation Technology camps.

Past campers had this to say:

  • “You learn new things, it’s really fun, and you meet new people and make new friends.”
  • “You need to come to this camp because it is so much fun and we do cool things. We learned so much.”
  • “The best thing I liked about the camp is that you can go at your own pace. You have people to help you if you need help.”
  • “It was a wonderful experience with terrific mentors who guide you throughout the camp. As a kid in the camp, I learned a lot in the short amount of time and it was very helpful.”

New this year, a grant-funded camp focused on Public Health. Called “Exploring the World of Public Health”, the camp was created for high school students who would like to learn more about the field. A Priority is given to existing CTE Allied Health students, but it will open to anyone as of May 1.

All campers will also have a chance to hear about Early College, a program that can help make a college education more affordable for New Hampshire families by offering low-cost and free college classes to New Hampshire high school and homeschool students.

“There will be an information session scheduled after one of the camp days each of the summer camp weeks. Families will get information in their ‘Welcome to Summer Camp at NCC’ email, or they can reach out to me for more information,” said Kim Eckenrode, Career and Technical Education Pathways Director.
