AMHERST, NH -- A 23-year-old man was shot to death in Amherst on Thanksgiving, police said. The victim was identified as Brandon Kluz. Officers arrested Bryson Peluso, 27, and charged him with murder, according to New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon MacDonald.
The shooting happened Thursday at about 1 a.m. at a residence at 19 Baboosic Lake Road. Peluso shot Kluz with a handgun, MacDonald and Amherst Police Chief Mark Reams said in a statement. The house is less than a quarter-mile from the police station near Route 101.
Further details about the case were withheld. MacDonald said Peluso killed Kluz "under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life."
