NH Walmart Stores Host Free Health Screenings
On Jan. 20, stores across the Granite State will be offering free blood pressure, glucose, and other tests.
Walmart is hosting free health screenings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at all of its New Hampshire stores. As part of Walmart Wellness Day, anyone who needs one, can receive free blood glucose, blood pressure, and body mass index tests. Some locations will also be offering free vision screenings. Low cost immunizations will also be available.
This year, some stores will also offering “a virtual reality experience” to assist with smoking cessation. According to the CDC, approximately 18 percent of adults in New Hampshire smoke cigarettes regularly, a press release noted. This free resource is intended to be a step toward quitting tobacco.
Since its first Walmart Wellness Day, more than 1.7 million free screenings and 225,000 immunizations have been given to customers.
