This fall, Nashua Community College is launching a new associate degree in Aviation management available 100% online.

“Aviation management opens the student up to the world of commercial aviation. Students can have careers working in airfield operations, airport management, Airline Management, Aircraft Manufacturing, and a host of aerospace companies,” said Doug Mitchell, professor and Aviation Technology program coordinator at Nashua Community College.

“Additionally, there are many government aviation jobs that students can find opportunities. These include military support jobs, Federal Aviation Administration or many other federal and state agencies which are involved with air transportation.”

Graduates will also be well prepared to continue their education at the baccalaureate level.

For those already working in the aviation field, the Aviation Management degree provides advancement opportunities.

In the expansive aviation industry, the key staff, operational, and executive positions are awarded to professionals who display a thorough knowledge of aviation as well as an exceptional aptitude for business.

Along with technical expertise, students with a degree in aviation management acquire skills in critical thinking, analytics and effective communication essential to making management-level decisions in the aviation industry.
