Police Following Leads In Mont Vernon Home Invasion

Investigation continues after an armed home invasion and sexual assault on Thursday.

Multiple police departments are continuing the investigation into a home invasion and assault incident against an adult female.

The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit was called to the home on Brook Road to assist the Mont Vernon Police Department with gathering evidence and conducting interviews. The investigation continued on today as the New Hampshire Major Crime Unit processed the scene for evidence and continued to interview potential witnesses.

The attack occured around 3 p.m. on Thursday at a Brook Road home. The suspect was as a white male wearing all black and it was believed he fled into the woods.

A canine track was conducted, but the suspect remains at large. It is believed that he is no longer in the area and the public is not in immediate danger.
