POLICE LOG: Three Cases Of Shoplifting Over Past Week

The following information was supplied by the Amherst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

[Friday, Sept. 21]

At 8:45 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Timothy J. Matthews, 50, of 464 Boston Post Road #15, Amherst on charges of criminal mischief and obstructing report of crime. Matthews was released on $800 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for October 18, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 3:39 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Thomas Doyle, 41, of 16 Grove Street #2, Milford on a charge of shoplifting. Doyle was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for October 18, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 5:25 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Alicia V. Hill, 25, of 23 Adams Street, Greenville on a charge of shoplifting. Hill was released on $600 personal recognizance  bail, with an arraignment date set for October 18, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Wednesday, Sept. 26]

At 11 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Joseph Brown, 40, of 386 Isaac Frye Hwy, Wilton on a charge of shoplifting. Brown was released on $400 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for October 18, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Thursday, Sept. 27]

At 5:45 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Route 101. No injuries were reported. The driver was Joseph Bills, 66, of Wilton.

At 10:03 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Route 101A.  No injuries were reported. The driver was Melody Christman, 56, of Milford.

At 10:59 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two car accident on Craftsman Lane at Route 101A. No injuries were reported. The drives were Christopher Callahan, 28, of Manchester and Darci Dormitzer, 29, of Amherst.
