3. Ice Cream! Join the Amherst Town Library for an End-of-the-Summer-Reading-Program Ice Cream Social! on Thursday, August 8 from 2-4 p.m. on the Town Green. Decorate your serving with 'dirt' (crushed Oreo's) and a 'worm' (gummy worm). There will be face-painting, bean-bag toss, bubbles, tug-of-war, and more. If the kids manage to read a total of 5500 hours or more, Miss Sarah and Miss Sue will be eating some CHOCOLATE-COVERED BUGS!!! Don't miss it!
