Road Update: New Water Main Coming to Cross/Middle Street

The latest on roadwork from Amherst DPW Director Bruce Berry:

Pennichuck Water has hired R.H. White to install a new water main within the Cross/Middle Street construction zone.

It is my best understanding that R, H, White will start around the intersection of Cross and Middle on Monday May 6^th.

This is a three step process and will take several weeks to complete. R.H. White is under contract with Pennichuck, not the town, but I have met with them and they understand my concerns about vibration, access, and dust.

Continental will concentrate its efforts in other work zones here in town until Pennichuck completes its work.
