The long awaited show is about to begin, the pipe crew will arrive tomorrow or Thursday and start at the cross culvert pipe (working north) on the south end of the road, closing the road to through traffic. There will be type III barricades at the intersection of Boston Post Road (Route 122) and jersey barricades north of the Arroya (#42) residence. Type III barricades will be placed on Middle Street and Courthouse Road in the vicinity of Thornton Ferry Road I. Every effort will be made to give easy access to all the affected home in the construction zone.
The schools and bus company have been notified and will be contacting parents within the work zone. This will be a major disruption for a short duration and your patience and understanding will be greatly appreciated by the construction crew.

Boston Post Road
Estimated to start on or about September 17th Boston Post Road from the Merrimack town line to the Merrimack Road / Boston Post Road split, will be reduced to one travel lane to remove 3” of existing asphalt and replace it with 2” of base asphalt, estimated time of reconstruction, 2 days.
This will be followed by (at yet to be determined paving date, but most likely before the 29th) two days of similar disruption to applying a 1.5 inch thick wearing surface. The road will be open to one lane of traffic but there will be major delays, leave lots of time and/or seek alternate routes.
