Road Update: Work On Seaverns Bridge Road Monday
The latest in roadwork from Amherst DPW.

Here is an update on Amherst roadwork from DPW Director Bruce Berry:
Courthouse Road Update
Over the next five to seven workdays, the pipe crew will be on the south side of Courthouse (between Amherst Street and 122). On Monday, the crew will be moving from the hollow up to the intersection of Middle and Courthouse to start placing three catch basins in that immediate area. This section of road will remain closed throughout the duration of drainage work.

I have reached out to the Post Master for advice for delivery within the work zone. I can put temporary boxes outside the immediate work area if that is acceptable, but it will not be before Monday.
On a different note as a travel advisory, weather permitting, starting next Thursday September 20th, we will be milling and paving Boston Post Road (several days work) between Merrimack town line and Merrimack Road. Travel will be reduced to one lane, please build extra time into your commute.

Seaverns Bridge Road Update
After crying wolf three times, I wasn’t going to send this, but……..
I have been assured by Continental; (unless it is raining) they will be on Seaverns Bridge Road Monday morning to do the wearing surface coat.
