SAU 39 Seeks Public Input in Strategic Planning Process

SAU 39 School Boards are seeking the public's response to a short survey important to the beginning of the strategic planning process.

The Amherst Mont Vernon and Souhegan school boards have begun the strategic planning and development process for the schools in SAU 39 and they need the public's input to get the ball rolling.

The process, which began in August, requires collecting a lot of information about the district through various methods including community outreach.

"One extremely important piece of thorough strategic plan is to seeks community input and active participation in the process," Superintendent Peter Warburton said in a press release. "Frankly, in order for this to work, your thinking and visioning with our boards and our administration and staff are critical to the plan's success."

In the first outreach opportunity to the community, the boards are seeking the public's response to quick and easy, eight-question survey found at this link. The information collected in the survey will provide an important perspective that the boards can study and use in their planning. Responses are due by Dec. 3.

"In the near future, I will also be asking for your input in a more active way, by serving on subcommittees to assist our boards in researching topics that will have a significant impact on the future of education in SAU 39," Warburton said.
