Scott Brown to Speak to Amherst GOP Group Saturday

Speculation continues to swirl about the former Massachusetts Senator running for office in New Hampshire.

The Amherst Republican Committee is welcoming former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown to speak at their monthly meeting on Saturday morning.

There has been a lot of speculation around the possibility of Brown running as a potential Republican challenger to U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) in 2014, and as a possible presidential candidate in 2016. Brown also filed paperwork this month to establish The People's Seat PAC to support candidates in New Hampshire, according to Politico.

Brown has spoken at several events in New Hampshire in recent months including a visit to Nashua earlier this week, a stop in Salem back in August and a stop in Hampstead at the end of September, among others.

According to Bill Modis, vice chairman of the Amherst GOP Committee, Sen. Brown will speak first at the meeting.

The November Monthly Meeting is Saturday, Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. at Joey's Diner, Route 101A, Amherst.
