Snow Storm, Bitter Cold Cause Slippery Roads
Polar Vortex returns this week; Amherst Zoning Board of Adjustment to meet tonight at Town Hall.

Take is slow: A snow storm that dumped up to 8 inches of snow overnight accompanied by freezing cold temperatures will make for some slippery road conditions and will cause some closures.
ZBA to meet Wednesday: The town's Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Wednesday at the Town Offices at 7 p.m.
Fatal hit and run driver due back in court: Travis Hobbs, 20, of Mont Vernon, who is charged with killing retired Amherst Fire Chief John Bachman after police say he struck him with his car on Dec. 23, had his probable cause hearing continued until Feb. 13.
Winter Carnival set: The Amherst Board of Selectmen recently voted to hold the town's Winter Carnival on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Middle Road.
