Souhegan Baseball Takes a 4-2 Victory Against Coe Brown

The Souhegan Sabers traveled to Northwood to play the Coe Brown Academy Black Bears and returned with a 4 to 2 victory and a 4 wins and 5 loss record.
Senior Lefty Connor Cinque threw a complete game three hitter, walked two, struck out four and picked off FOUR Black Bear runners at firstbase.

The Sabers defense played outstanding baseball behind Connor Cinque. Michel Ehrenstein made a number of excellent plays at first base with strong footwork and soft glove. Thirdbaseman Tyrell Torres made a number of excellent plays from a pair of difficult slow rollers to an exciting back hand of a ball down the thirdbase foul line and threw out a Black Bear at first.
In the TOP of the first inning, Seth Learned started a rally with two out ... walking and quickly stealing second base, Cameron Crook walked and an rbi off the bat of Andrew MacDonald gave the Sabers a 1-0 lead.

In the TOP of the second, Michel Ehrenstein walked, bunted to second by Austin Cote and Tyler Ford's rbi double gave Souhegan a 2-0 lead.
Leading 2-1 in the TOP of the sixth, Souhegan posted a pair of important insurance runs. Connor Cinque reached on an infield error, Michel Ehrenstein walked, Austin Cote laid down a second successful sacrifice bunt and Peter Bennett two run rbi double down the left field line gave Souhegan a 4 to 1 lead.
In the BOTTOM of the seventh, Coe Brown cut the lead to 4 to 2 with one out and Connor Cinque struck lout the last two Black Bears for the Sabers win.
