Souhegan Baseball Takes One Win, One Loss This Week
The Sabers were beaten by Osyter River, but overcame the John Stark Generals.

Sabers vs. Oyster River
The Souhegan Sabers hosted the Oyster River Bobcats in a game of comebacks with Oyster River winning the contest 12 to 7.
Tyrell Torres started for the Sabers on the mound. After being touched for four innings in the first, Tyrell Torres pitched four strong innings before being replaced in the 6th with a 7 to 6 lead. Chandler MacKenzie came in for relief and finished the 6th inning ending the Bobcat rally. In the seventh, Chandler got the lead off hitter, walked the second batter before the Oyster River batter hit a two run home run and take the lead. Joe Grasset finished the seventh.

The Souhegan defense played strong in the field. Peter Bennett (left) and Seth Learned (center) led the team with outstanding catches in the outfield. Tyler Ford led the infield with five assists and Cameron Crook threw out a runner attempting to steal second.
Trailing 4 to 0 going into the bottom of the second, the Sabers rallied for seven runs. Seth Learned opened the inning with a single, Andrew MacDonald doubled. Seth Learned stole home for the Sabers first run. Michel Ehrenstein, Cameron Crook and Austin Cote each walked (rbi Austin Cote), Tyler Ford rbi single was followed by Tyrell Torres squeeze bunt made the score 4 to 4 ...Connor Cinque walked with the bases loaded (rbi) and Seth Learned sacrifice fly made the score 6 to 4. Andrew MacDonald's rbi single made the score 7 to 4.

Sabers vs. John Stark Generals
The Souhegan Sabers hosted the John Stark Generals and the Sabers win put the Souhegan record at 3 wins and 5 losses.
Seth Learned was the winning pitcher for Souhegan - pitched four strong innings, allowed two hits, struck out four and did not walk a batter. Bryce Knight pitched the fifth inning, struck out 3 and allowed one hit.
The Sabers defense was led by center fielder Stevie Upton.
The Souhegan offense banged out 15 hits from the bats of nine different Sabers. Leading the offense was Tyler Ford, 2 for 2, a grand slam home run in the first inning and a two run home run in the second inning, a walk, stole base and a sacrifice fly (rbi), Tyrell Torres, 2 for 3 and a walk, Seth Learned 2 for 3 and a walk, Cameron Crook 2 for 3, a walk and 3 rbi, Andrew MacDonald 2 for 3 and an rbi and Michel Ehrenstein 2 for 2, 2 walks and an rbi.
