Souhegan's Tyler Ford Makes History at Shrine Bowl
Ford made the longest field goal in the game's history during the 60th Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl.
One of our own Souhegan athletes made a record-breaking kick during the shut out game between New Hampshire and Vermont at this year’s Shrine Bowl.
Tyler Ford made a 42-yard field goal and four point-after kicks during the 60th Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl at Dartmouth's Memorial Field, according to ESPN. His field goal, which was made right at the end of the first half, is the longest field goal in the game’s history.
Ford’s points brought the final score to a 43-0 win against the Vermont team. This is the 13th year in a row that New Hampshire has beat its neighbor at the Shrine Bowl.
