Spring Cleaning Starts From Within
The house or yard isn't the only thing that needs a little upkeep here and there.

Everybody has said it with zeal at least once the past few days: “Winter is over.”
Spring is the season that just makes you want to do things. Clean out the closet, dust off the Bowflex or just do something new for a change. The snow is melting (well, not fast enough) and everything out there is looking brand new again.

It is always a good idea to look for mental and physical “clean ups” during times like these. Something to turn around that stagnation and pump some of that energy into yourself. There is no reason why a new season can’t be a jump start to something new.
Cleaning up from within means shedding any negative feelings you have clung to or bad habits that have become routine. Just like the warmer temperature makes your pets shed all over the place, you can shed everything that has been dragging you down.

Fought with a friend over winter and haven’t apologized to each other? Throw off those bad feelings and take the first step to reconciliation. Maybe you are like me and let the snowy weather deter the exercise regimen, but it is never too late to get back on the wagon.
There are few mental burdens so heavy that they cannot be taken off and left behind.
I like to think of spring as a reawakening in this way. There is nothing wrong with seeing a new season as a new start. In fact, that important clean up process can be done each and every day.
Negative thoughts and bad feelings should be stripped away after the alarm goes off each morning. Throw off the blanket, and then throw off all of that emotional baggage underneath it. Dust out the parts of the mind you have ignored or positive feelings that have been neglected.
Yesterday doesn’t exist anymore and today is a day for new opportunities.
Let the spring cleaning begin from within and make a difference in both mind and body. The season is a new starting point, the morning is a new beginning and you can be ready for anything.
