Sunny Day Ahead, PSNH Ending Program and Bubble Fun!
Some interesting and useful things to know courtesy of Patch.

1. Weather Report: Today will be mainly sunny. High 83F. Winds light and variable. Tonight should have a few clouds. Low 61F. Winds light and variable.
2. Bubbles! Head over to the Children's Room in the Amherst Town Library on Thursday, August 1 from 10:30-11 a.m. for The Amazing Bubbleman. This amazing program is a chance for Keith Johnson to share the incredible science related to bubbles: how they work and what we can do with them. Join us, to watch the mystery of bubbles unfold---you'll ooooh, you'll ahhh, you'll laugh---and you'll be glad you came! Recommended for ages 5 and up.
3. In Case You Missed It: Amherst could receive a hefty amount of funding to improve its infrastructure through Safe Routes to School. If granted funding, you can expect to see improvements in routes to Amherst Middle School and Clark/Wilkins Elementary. Read more.
4. PSNH ends program. Public Service of New Hampshire is ending its program to fund renewable energy, according to WMUR. It allowed customers to pay a bit more to help fund alternative energy sources, but only 148 customers enrolled.
5. Fact of the Day: Sometime around the year 1478, Leonardo da Vinci drew out his plans for the world's first self-propelled vehicle. More than 500 years later (in 2004), the Institute and Museum of the History of Science in Florence, Italy, built a working model of Leonardo's invention.
