Trick-or-Treat and Dinner with the Boy Scouts

What's on tap for the week.

Selectmen Monday. The Amherst Board of Selectmen will meet Monday, Oct. 28 for a regularly scheduled meeting. On the agenda are strategic planning presentations with the recreation department and town administration. Get the full agenda on the Amherst town website.

Steve Blunt at the Library. Come wiggle and giggle through a silly, spooky and fun Halloween concert with Steve Blunt in the Library on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Blunt will perform a not-so-scary musical program in the Childrens Room from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Costumes not required, but they make it way more fun!  No registration required.

Planning Board work session. The Amherst Planning Board will hold a work session on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Souhegan High School, Information Center, Room 202, to discuss a draft of the Aquifer Conservation District and Flood Plain Protection District Zoning Amendments.

Trick-or-Treat Thursday. Get dressed up and hit the streets on Thursday, Oct. 31, for the town's annual Trick-or-Treat hours. Trick-or-Treat will be from 6-8 p.m. Amherst Boy Scout Troop 613, will serve dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. on the village green across from Moulton's Market. The Boy Scouts will be serving steaming bowls of chili, hotdogs, chips, apple cider, hot chocolate, soft drinks, and water at its annual Hot Dog and Chili Fundraiser.
