For example, one Patch reader asked about the winter hours for the Amherst Transfer Station on the Amherst Patch Facebook page. Well here they are:

• Tuesdays 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m.
• Thursdays: 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m.
• Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• Saturdays: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

(Closed on Christmas)
