Woman Arraigned After Bizarre Driving Injures Officer

Cheryl Nelson faces felony charges for driving under the influence and hitting an Amherst officer.

A woman has been arraigned for allegedly crashing into multiple vehicles after driving around Milford erratically, including a vehicle driven by an officer, according to WMUR.

Cheryl Nelson, 44, of Tyngsborough, Mass. faces multiple charges including DWI, felony reckless conduct and simple assault from her alleged dangerous driving in Milford on Friday. She allegedly drove her SUV into oncoming traffic on Route 13, drove around the Milford Oval the wrong way and ended up hitting a vehicle driven by Amherst Sgt. Patrick Webster, police said.

Webster was taken into the hospital for his injuries, and was later released. Nelson is being held on $25,000 cash bail, with a probably cause hearing schedule for April 11.
