2. A bloody good time. This week, Feb. 25 to 28, The American Red Cross Donor Center at 425 Reservoir Ave., Manchester, will be open an hour earlier, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. This is to hopefully make up for all of the blood lost this month due to the several snow storms. The Donor Center will also be open on Friday, March 1, from noon to 5 p.m. To make your appointment call 1-800-REDCROSS or go to redcrossblood.org. Walk ins are always welcome. There will be ski tickets and coupons for Chili’s Bar and Grill through Thursday. On Friday, donors will receive coupons from Subway and subs will be served all day.
3. Snow today, not gone until tomorrow. With temperatures expected to hover in the upper 30s throughout the day, snow and rain is likely to mix and create 2-4 inches of heavy, slushy snow throughout the day, evening and into Thursday. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent, according to Weather.com, and today's high is 38 degrees (34 for a nighttime low).

4. On the agenda. The Bedford Town Council meets at 7 tonight at the BCTV Bedford Town Meeting Room. Among items on the agenda, councilors will discuss negotiations with the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill and receive an update on the Stevens-Buswell Community Center.
5. Library lowdown. The Bedford Public Library, today, hosts Toddler 2's story time (registration required) from 10-10:45 a.m at the Children's Castle and Drop-in story time (ages 3 & up) from 1:30-2:15 p.m. Also, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., the Clayworks Sculpting Workshop is held in the McAllaster Room.
