A 5-month-old was among those present at a Bedford home when police responded to a report of shots fired Saturday afternoon.
Officers arrived at 7 Curtis Lane around 2:47 p.m. and, after a brief investigation, determined the source of the single gunshot and arrested Matapelu Leausa without incident.
The situation is believed to be the result of a domestic dispute between Leausa and another resident living inside the home.
Leausa’s 5-month-old child was located in the home when the firearm was discharged, but no one was injured during the dispute or during the apprehension of Leausa.
Leausa is charged with felony counts of reckless conduct and criminal threatening. He is being held at Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester on $10,000 cash bail and will appear for arraignment on Monday, Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m. at Milford District Court.
