Bedford-based NH4Ukraine.org extends its stay in Ukraine through April
NH4Ukraine.org, a Bedford-based nonprofit, will continue working through the winter in Ukraine providing food, hygiene and warm clothing.
KHARKIV, UKRAINE -As winter descends on Ukraine, the challenges faced by its most vulnerable citizens grow increasingly dire.
NH4Ukraine.org, a Bedford-based nonprofit founded in March 2022, is currently in the midst of their seventh (and most extensive) mission providing food, hygiene and other necessities to the vulnerable victims of Russia's unwarranted aggression. This mission was originally scheduled to last six months beginning on April 14, but it's now been extended through the winter, until April 2025.
Based in the northeastern city of Kharkiv, only 20 miles from the Russian border, our work entails not only providing aid, but also co-managing a program which holds regular events at 15 different large shelters for internally displaced people. These events focus on providing sports, entertainment and arts programs for displaced children who have had to flee their homes as Russians invaded their towns and villages.

We are committed to enduring the challenges that anticipated Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure will bring. There will likely be days with freezing temperatures and no heat, but with continued support from caring people, we will not be deterred from going forward with our mission.

Supporting Ukraine is more than an act of charity—it’s an investment in global stability. By helping Ukraine resist Russia’s aggression, we help safeguard peace and avert future conflicts that could threaten our own national security. Ukraine is doing the heavy lifting; all they need is our continued assistance to put a stop to Russia's imperialistic goals.
