BEDFORD, NH — The Bedford Police Department invites residents for an evening of family-friendly fun this Tuesday, as part of the annual National Night Out. The event is a chance for the public to get to know police and other emergency officials as a way to strengthen partnerships. In Bedford, National Night Out will include a softball game between Police and Fire departments.

Bedford's National Night Out will take place at the Selvoski Field, located on County Road. The softball game will begin at 6 p.m. Members of the public will also have a chance to tour some emergency vehicles that will be parked on site.

"This event is an opportunity for people to ask questions and learn about what first responders do," said Police Chief John Bryfonski. "Our department enjoys celebrating this event and encouraging community connections and we hope residents will come out to join us."
