Bedford Man Arrested for Prowling in Manchester

A Bedford man was arrested for prowling after being caught rifling through someone's truck on Oakland Avenue early this morning.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - A Bedford man was arrested for prowling after being caught rifling through someone's truck on Oakland Avenue early this morning.

According to police, two officers were dispatched to the area of 92 Woodland Avenue approximately 2 a.m. this morning after a caller reported two men were seen rummaging through vehicles. Police said they found Andrew Anderson, 20 of Bedford, NH inside a 2012 GMC Sierra parked in the driveway of 170 Oakland Ave.

The owner of the pickup confirmed his doors were closed and no lights were on when he parked his vehicle for the night.

The owner, who did not know Anderson, also confirmed the items on the ground were in the center console when he parked his vehicle. The second suspect was not located.

Anderson was placed into custody without incident and charged with loitering/prowling and attempted theft by unauthorized taking.

He was released on $500 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on July 11, 2018.
