Bedford Resident Allegedly Lost Job After Attempting to Whistleblow

Nurse says she had proof a doctor working at Eduardo Quesada's Manchester practice was abusing narcotics.

A Bedford woman, who was employed for 12 years as a nurse with Elliot Hospital, has filed a lawsuit against her former employer after being told to resign or be fired.

According to an article published in Friday's Union Leader, Katherne K. Lacoste suspected that an anesthesiologist was abusing narcotics at the practice, switched a syringe to test her hypothesis and alerted hospital officials when she believed her suspicions were confirmed.

She, however, was the one that was questioned and forced out of her job, according to a lawsuit filed with Hillsborough County Superior Court North.

The Union Leader also noted that the doctor under Lacoste's suspicion, Brian Klagges, practices at Amoskeag Anesthesia PLLC, the practice of Dr. Eduardo Quesada, who was reportedly brutally attacked at his 7 Proclamation Court home last November.

The newspaper did note that Quesada is not part of the lawsuit.
