Bedford Student Is Dedicated To Feeding Her Community

BEDFORD, NH — New Hampshire is full of bright, driven young people making a difference in and out of the classroom. That’s why Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to spotlight students excelling in academics, athletics and community service.

I work with her volunteering at Fueled by Kids.

Tell us about your star student's accomplishments and why they deserve to be recognized on Patch!

Jill, along with another student, Finn, is the general manager of Fueled by Kids. This organization provides over 1,100 weekend food bags each week to 21 schools in Manchester, NH. Jill and Finn are responsible for communicating with the schools to coordinate the number of bags for each school and the schedule. They also get other students to volunteer to pack the bags each week.

In addition, they present to other organizations such as Lions Club and Rotary to spread awareness about the Fueled by Kids mission. Jill also runs a club at Bedford High School that provides volunteers to pack bags, runs fundraising events, and writes personal thank-you notes to donors.

Jill and Finn do a great job organizing all these things and speaking about Fueled by Kids! She and Finn are very dedicated to helping feed children who struggle with food insecurity and make a big difference each week in these children’s lives!
