BEDFORD, NH — A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Bedford teen who was the driver and sole occupant of the car on Sunday morning.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred on Back River Road, just south of the County Road intersection in front of the Peter Woodbury School. Sources indicated the vehicle was traveling south. It left the right side of the roadway, struck a utility pole, and rolled over into the school's parking lot.
Bedford firefighters and police responded to the scene and found a teenager who succumbed to injuries from the crash.

On Sunday afternoon, the cracked utility pole had not been repaired, and marks in the dirt indicated where the vehicle had struck a small tree.
