Bedford's Interim Town Manager Starts Today

Here are five things you should know in Bedford today.

1. Welcome to Bedford.  Pat McQueen, a former town manager in several local communities, will assume the Bedford post until a replacement is named, hired and begins. McQueen will work 24 hours a week at $90 an hour. Bedford Patch will provide an exclusive interview with the temporary boss Wednesday.

2. The weatherman says ...
 the warmer weather continues today with temperatures in the mid 40s. The tradeoff, for today anyway, is rain. The forecast, according to Weather.com, calls for an 80-percent chance of rain today with a high of 45. Tonight's low is 31, with a 70-percent chance pf precipitation.

3. Library closed for upcoming holiday. Don't forget, the Bedford Public Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Never fear, there are still plenty of fun activities on the agenda. Find this week's library calendar here.
