Believe in Bedford: Re-Elect Loren Foxx

Candidate running for re-election to the NH State House attended 100% of session days

Proudly Representing Bedford in NH's State House
Proudly Representing Bedford in NH's State House (Loren Foxx)

I write this letter to ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 5, to represent Bedford once again in the New Hampshire State House.

I have served our town in many capacities: on various boards, on sports fields, and as a State Representative. I believe that all of us have the ability to contribute to our community. It is why, when someone asks for my help, I share my time and experience to the extent I am able. It is not always easy, but it is right.

As one of Bedford’s State Representatives in Concord, I made it a point to show up every session day. I believe in doing what I was elected to do: vote in alignment with the wishes of my constituents and stand up for people who aren’t able to take on a time-intensive role like this. I return phone calls and I listen. I’m not an expert on everything and these conversations help me become better informed.

As a parent who first walked into the State House when chaperoning the fourth grade field trip nine years ago, I also believe in showing up for our fourth graders. Rep. Catherine Rombeau and I were the only two sitting Bedford state reps who attended any of the field trips, believe it or not. The teachers carefully prepare their students to learn about civic engagement, and showing up helps the kids understand that they, too, are important.

I am a believer in keeping our public schools strong, and I believe that they strengthen our community. My voting record backs that up. I consistently voted to keep our public schools vital, feed students who might not have adequate nutrition at home, and give our children the best opportunity to learn from our past and prepare for the future.

I am a small business owner. I have bootstrapped my own business and I know the importance of a tax structure that benefits business, and benefits all of us. I commit to keeping New Hampshire free of state income and sales taxes.

As a father of two daughters, I firmly believe that decisions about their bodies should be their decisions, not mine.

As someone who treasures the outdoors, I believe we should be doing everything in our power to protect our natural resources here in the Granite State, and protect our winters.

And as someone who believes that everyone deserves a fair shake, I believe in equality and empathy. I realize that we haven’t all had the same opportunities and I do what I can to help others find opportunities to better themselves.

We are in a place where it often feels like it’s us versus them, that we should be afraid of the world. That feeling is neither healthy nor comfortable. I want us to get back to a place where we can feel like we are rooting for each other, where we can grow spiritually and intellectually, and where we can help members of our community improve themselves, too.
