Crash Of Rolled Over Dump Truck Closes Highway For More Than 2 Hours
I-293 north in Manchester was closed Thursday after a truck loaded with sand rolled over. The driver had minor injuries from the incident.
MANCHESTER, NH — A crash involving a dump truck rollover closed part of Interstate 293 north in Manchester Thursday for more than two hours and injured the driver.
Manchester Fire, AMR, and New Hampshire State Police responded to the crash at Mile Marker .04, just South of the merge with I-93 south at about 8 a.m. Traffic between I-93 south and the accident on I-293 completely shut down that portion of the highway. Firefighters and AMR personnel provided medical aid to the driver of the truck, who had what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to a local hospital by AMR ambulance.
State Police temporarily stopped traffic on 93 South so vehicles could be turned around on I-293 to exit the closed section of the highway.

Manchester firefighters worked to mitigate fluids leaking from the rolled-over truck. Blais Towing was dispatched to the scene to roll the dump truck over.
After the truck was uprighted, NH DOT workers used a plow truck to push the sand to the side of the highway, and workers used gas-powered blowers to remove the remaining sand.
