World Series Winning Bedford Resident Retires
Here are five interesting notes you should know today in Bedford.

1. Pitch out. Former Major League Baseball Cy Young Award winner Chris Carpenter, a Bedford resident who helped lead the St. Louis Cardinals to two World Series titles in the last decade, has announced his retirement. The 38-year-old perennial all-star missed the entire 2013 season and most of 2012 to injury. Read more here.

The Bedford, NH Parent-Teacher Group is proud to announce its highly-anticipated and wildly-popular Annual Ski & Skate Sale event has been scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Bedford High School. This family-oriented winter fundraiser aims to support education programs for the 4400+ students attending the six Bedford public schools grades K through 12 through the sale of new and consignment winter sports equipment and apparel from top vendors and families throughout our community.
