Fatal Bedford Crash Leads to Charges Against 2 Individuals

BEDFORD, NH — Bedford Police have charged two individuals in connection with a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Wallace Road this past June.

The incident, which resulted in the death of Tyson Bolduc, 17, has led to charges of facilitating an underage drinking party and alcohol-related offenses. According to a report from Bedford Police Chief Daniel Douidi, officers responded to the area of Wallace Road and Stagecoach Lane on June 8, at approximately 8:15 p.m., following reports that a male had jumped from a moving vehicle. The passenger, later identified as Bolduc, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The 17-year-old male driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police. A preliminary investigation revealed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. After conducting a field sobriety test and a toxicology report, police determined that the driver had no substances in his system at the time of the crash. He was charged with transportation of alcohol and open container. Due to his age, the driver's name has not been released.

A subsequent investigation uncovered that Bolduc and the driver had attended a party at a private residence where underage drinking took place. As a result, the homeowner, Heather Keegan, 55 of Bedford, was charged with facilitating an underage alcohol party. Keegan is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on September 9th.

In a statement, Chief Douidi stressed the seriousness of the situation. "This remains a tragic incident, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the families involved during this difficult time," said Douidi. "We are committed to ensuring justice is served and that we continue to work with schools, parents, and community partners to prevent another senseless tragedy."
