Here are the top stories in Bedford today:
- In addition to shakes and burgers, did you know you can order wine and beer at Shake Shack? I know, I was surprised too. The first Shake Shack will open in New Hampshire this summer at the Tuscan Village in Salem—only a short ride away. When Market and Main first started in 2016, Shake Shack for a time planned to open a location in Bedford. For now, the closest Shake Shack location will be in Salem. (Subscription/The Union Leader)
- Students from Mascoma Valley Regional High School competed in round one of The Granite State Challenge, a New Hampshire Public Television quiz game show where high school students answer academic questions. The Granite State Challenge is hosted by Joe Cannon, a Bow High School teacher and former coach for Bedford High School. (John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC)
- Honor jazz greats like Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk with the Alex Minasian Trio at the next Concerts and Cookies series on April 2, presented by the Friends of the Bedford Library. The trio will perform selections from the Great American Songbook, and features pianist Alex Minasian, who "has performed in most of the country’s most famous jazz rooms, including the Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Apollo Theater."
