Goffstown Ambulance In Accident In Manchester After Leaving Hospital
2 were transported to the hospital after the crash at Lake Avenue, Wilson Street; no patient was in the ambulance at the time of the crash.
MANCHESTER, NH — Goffstown Fire ambulance was on Lake Avenue in Manchester, returning to its own town after transporting a patient to the Elliot Hospital Wednesday, when it was involved in a crash.
The ambulance was traveling west on Lake Avenue when a vehicle traveling north on Wilson Street entered the intersection and appeared to fail to stop at a stop sign. Manchester Fire Department engine 11 and two AMR ambulances responded to the scene per the request of the firefighters involved in the accident.
One person from the passenger car involved in the accident was transported with minor injuries, and one Goffstown Fire personnel was transported for medical evaluation as a precaution.

The ambulance's front end suffered significant damage from the accident. The passenger car and the ambulance were both towed from the scene.
Manchester Police are investigating the accident. The extent of the ambulance is being evaluated by an insurance adjuster, according to Goffstown Fire Department.
