  4. Robert Baskerville of Bedford Design Consultants discovered that Litchfield home-builder Paul Taschereau didn't always pay his bills. Taschereau hired his firm, then allegedly paid late or not at all. Charleen Salazar, a Manchester resident and retired army nurse, hired Paul Taschereau to build her "dream retirement home" in 2018 and paid with her life savings, but no home was built. Taschereau died in December 2020, "Baskerville and one of his employees landscape architect Katherine Weiss, haven’t written off" what happened to Salazar.
