High-Speed Pursuit Of SUV That Fled From NH State Police In Merrimack Crashes In Hooksett

Kaitlyn Muise of Manchester is accused of reckless conduct with a deadly Weapon, operating under revocation, and numerous other charges.

HOOKSETT, NH — New Hampshire State Police stopped a Silver Hyundai Santa Fe for several violations on the F.E. Everett Turnpike South in Bedford at Exit 13. at about 8:40 a.m.

Trooper Shane Mason of the New Hampshire State Police Troop B exited his vehicle; upon exiting his cruiser and approaching the vehicle, the operator fled the traffic stop.

The vehicle reportedly fled from the trooper north on the turnpike and took Exit 13 toward the airport. State police reported the vehicle changed direction, returned to the turnpike, and proceeded north onto I-293 into Manchester at speeds estimated to be around 90 mph.

Radio reports indicated there was one woman in the vehicle. The plate was registered to a BMW, which did match the vehicle description.

The vehicle continued north at high speed and then turned onto I-93 South in Hooksett. Due to the speed, state police terminated the pursuit but witnessed the vehicle take Exit 9 south.

State police immediately located the vehicle, which had rolled over and struck trees and a large boulder. The vehicle was smoking, and the occupant was still inside. Troopers then worked to get her out of the SUV. Hooksett police also assisted.

Hooksett Fire and EMS were dispatched to evaluate the woman. After being assessed by Hooksett medics, she was transferred in handcuffs by a trooper to a cruiser.

State Police identified the operator as Kaitlyn M. Muise, 31, of Manchester.

Muise was charged with Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, Disobeying a Police Officer, Operating a vehicle without an Alcohol Ignition Interlock device, Operating After Suspension for DUI, Operating a vehicle with a Suspended Registration, Misuse of Plate, and a Defective Equipment violation.

Muise was released on bail with a Merrimack District Court arraignment date of March 26th.

The offramp was closed for about 45 minutes while Supreme Towing rolled the vehicle over and removed it from the scene.
