The annual Bedford Garden Club Christmas tree lighting will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.
The Bedford Women's Club will be hosting its Festival of Trees and Holiday Market on Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6.

The Canvas Roadshow has projects for the holiday, including a knit snowman on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and a sea glass tree on Thursday, Dec. 4.
The Friends of the Bedford Public Library host a concert by the New England Irish Harp Orchestra.
Robert Dionne of the Majestic Theatre hosts a piano concert on Dec. 21.
The Brookside Church in Manchester is also hosting a tour of the historic Manning House on Dec. 13.
The Jobin Christmas Lights are on at 8 Stephen Drive in Bedford beginning at 4:30 p.m. every night.
As you plan your calendar, here are some key dates to consider:
- Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish “festival of lights,” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods, begins at sundown on Dec. 14 and continues until sundown on Dec. 22. The dates vary every year.
- Christmas, of course, is always Dec. 25.
- Kwanzaa, a weeklong celebration primarily held in the United States to honor African heritage and African-American culture, is observed from Dec. 26-Jan. 1, culminating with gift-giving and a lavish feast. The dates of this holiday do not change.
