Here are the top stories in Bedford today:

  1. An iPhone Fire Hazard Warning from the NH State Fire Marshal's Office was posted by The Town of Bedford Monday. Apple warns iPhone users not charge iPhones while they are sleeping as the battery could overheat and "lead to a potentially catastrophic outcome." The recent warning from Apple says, "The risks of fire and injury should not be underestimated." Apple also warned to never leave your iPhone underneath a pillow or buried beneath blankets as it could block ventilation and cause overheating. The company also warned against using third-party chargers that may cause batteries to overheat. Stay safe, Bedford! (Town of Bedford via Facebook)
  2. The Animal Rescue League Feline Adoption Center and Bird Room is delighted to have spacious new cabinets thanks to the generous donation and installation by Rob Currao and the team at Cabinet Outlet. "We are so thankful for your support and are thrilled with our new set up!" the ARLNH said in a recent post, thanking the company for donating greatly needed storage. See the ARLNH's "snazzy" new cabinets here: (Animal Rescue League of NH via Facebook)
  3. Join the Bedford Women's Club for a New Member Coffee on Thursday, Aug. 24. The annual coffee for prospective new members will be held in the McAllaster Room at the Bedford Library at 6:30 p.m. Learn about the club's social activities, fundraisers, scholarships and contributions to local charities. The Bedford Women’s Club was established in 1905 and is "an opportunity for Bedford women to meet socially and pursue many interests." Find out more and sign up here: (Bedford Patch)
