The detective first spoke about a clip for a Glock weapon that was found in the kitchen. The jurors were shown a close-up photograph of the clip. The clip's color matched the firearm's color that several witnesses described.
As detectives continued to execute the search warrant, they found ammunition which was the same brand and caliber as a shell casing found at the scene of the shooting.
The detectives located a case for a Glock handgun. On the case were the serial number and detailed information about the firearm in the case. No firearm was located, and at this time, it has not been found.
Detective Austin Biery who is the lead detective on the case spoke about video evidence that police gathered from the area of the shooting.
Videos from different angles from AutoFair were entered into evidence and shown to the jurors.
The first video, which does not have sound, showed the truck and car on South Willow Street traveling South.
The second video showed South Willow Street and the car and truck moving toward the intersection where the shooting occurred.
The audio played from the video allowed the jurors to hear the horn of the truck. The driver of the truck is seen getting out of the truck and according to the time stamp on the video within seconds you hear a single gunshot. The Honda CR-V speeds off immediately after the shot is heard.
The next set of videos was gathered from the Irving gas station and the Common Man store.
The videos show the Honda CR-V speeding into the parking lot and a short time later the Range Rover enters the parking lot. A large box truck is in the parking lot and both moving vehicles had to avoid hitting it. The Range Rover appears to be several car lengths away from the Honda.
Harris faces two counts of second-degree murder for recklessly and knowingly shooting Cardakovic to death, falsifying physical evidence, and reckless conduct.
Throughout the testimony Thursday Harris sat next to his defense team taking notes while the detectives testified. He was dressed in a dark-colored shirt and tie and wore rosary beads as he has since the beginning of the trial.
The trial will continue and is expected to take five to seven days according to the time scheduled on the court calendar.
