- New Hampshire businesses were skeptical about a new state Paid Family and Medical Leave program for employees. David Greer, CEO of Wire Belt Company of America, who is moving his business to Bedford, said the program had some “nice advantages" but noted employees could take advantage of the program by filing a claim when they didn't really need it. When 100 Human Resource professionals were asked how many businesses adopted NH's new program, "only one hand went up." Some said not enough was done to market and promote it. (New Hampshire Business Review)
- A Bedford man, Stephan Condodemetraky, 54, who was the man "behind a multi-million-dollar classic car fraud," has been convicted of theft again. This time, for stealing more than $115,000 from several victims in NH. But those who "lost their money and their classic cars" through Condodemetraky's bankrupt consignment car business and alleged Ponzi scheme, "didn't expect justice." Condodemetraky was only "sentenced to 48 hours in prison on one theft count," despite allegations of $4 million lost fraudulently through his business. Read more here: (Patch)
