A lawyer who stood in for Humphrey’s attorney agreed to allow the affidavit to be unsealed for his legal team but requested it be sealed from the public.
Senior Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinkley spoke to the media after the courtroom session and said the affidavit was sealed so investigators could continue interviewing people and gathering evidence. If Humphrey is indicted on the second-degree murder charge, the affidavit is expected to be released a few days later.
