Man Seriously Injured After Dodge Pickup Plows Through Garage

Manchester Fire, AMR and building collapse unit responded to Cedar Hill Drive for a truck into a residence. The garage was heavily damaged.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire, police, and AMR responded to a report of a vehicle into a residence on Cedar Hill Drive Friday just before 7:30 a.m.

On arrival, fire crews found a Dodge Ram pickup truck that had crashed through a garage, causing significant structural damage. Firefighters began medical aid to a man who was seriously injured in the crash and transported him to the Elliot Hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Manchester Fire Battalion Chief Jon Fosher requested the building collapse unit respond to the scene to stabilize the structure.

Crews used lumber and tools to brace the structure, which allowed for stability, and then, the pickup truck was removed.

Fosher said it appeared the man was outside of the pickup, possibly pushing it when it lunged forward.

Manchester Police are investigating the accident, and all personnel have cleared the scene.
