Here are the top stories in Bedford today:
- The winning Tri-State Megabucks ticket worth more than a million dollars was sold at the liquor store on Leavy Drive in Bedford. That ticket matched all five winning numbers in Saturday night's drawing and the Mega ball number. The earliest day the winnings can be claimed is Tuesday, as the state lottery offices are closed Monday for Presidents' Day. (WMUR Manchester)
- A shoutout to Elizabeth Duclos, who has served the Town of Bedford for 15 years. "Liz" joined the Bedford Police Department as a dispatcher in the Emergency Communications Center in 2008, answering emergency calls, dispatching Bedford firefighters and police, and training other dispatchers. In 2018, she transitioned to the Fire Department, "where she is the epicenter of all administrative tasks, too many to name" as executive assistant. "Thanks for your dedication." (Bedford Fire Department via Facebook)
- Will Bedford see snow this week? Temperatures Monday will be in the 40s and 50s, so you may be wondering if snow and winter will return. By early Tuesday we could see "light snow and snow showers" with "a dusting to 2 inches of snow possible" Tuesday night. Driving conditions may be slippery. Another weather system with a "wintry mix" may be headed our way on Thursday. Yes, winter has returned! (Weather.com)
