- Officials shut down 293 in Manchester earlier this week to aid state police in their search for a woman and child. Dispatchers communicated with police about the woman, who reported on her 911 call that she had come from a party where she had allegedly been drinking and was driving north on I-93 in Salem. She claimed to have a child in her car and refused to pull over by police. A search ensued, ending with the discovery the child did not exist. The woman was transported to a local facility for a mental health evaluation and treatment. (Patch)
